1956: Lucio Enrico Di Nardo, a connoisseur and enthusiast of art objects, begins his work as an optician and collector of vintage eyewear.
1981: Opening of the Antica Occhialeria store in Florence, where vintage glasses from the ’30s, ’50s, and ’60s are sold.
1995: Opening of the production unit for cellulose acetate eyewear frames.
1999: Launch of Antica Occhialeria’s e-commerce website.
2003: Start of the design and production of glasses made entirely of wood.
2013: Development of new products: in genuine leather, buffalo horn, and 18 kt gold.
2018: Setup of the Antica Occhialeria Fabbrica Occhiali laboratory/store.
2023: Opening of a new boutique in the historic center of Florence, just steps from Ponte Vecchio.
